I am very happy to work with you, in the creation of a special piece of jewellery: You may have a fully-formed design or just the beginning of an idea.
You don’t have to provide detailed sketches (although you can if you wish). A rough doodle will be a good starting point.
I will, sometimes, test the design by making a Polymer clay model. If I feel it would be helpful to the design process, I may offer to send it to you for approval.
The successful completion of the commission depends upon good communication between the Client and Artist. I will not progress a piece until I am satisfied that we both understand what the outcome will be.
A reasonably accurate estimate of the final cost of the piece will be approved by the client
in writing, before I will accept the commission. This also applies to any changes, which significantly affect the costing.
The time needed to make a commissioned piece will vary, depending upon the length of the consultation period and the complexity of the piece, but a minimum period of six weeks should be allowed. If the piece requires Hallmarking; this will add to the timescale.
A 50% non-refundable part-payment is required before I will undertake a commission. The final instalment is payable before dispatch.
I am happy to make personalised items of Jewellery, such as fingerprint charms and pendants and baby tooth (‘Tooth Fairy’) charms.
Photos of these items will be on this page, in the near future.
I have also been asked if I would consider incorporating the ashes of a loved one into a piece of jewellery. I will be happy to offer this service, as soon as I have my Lamp working equipment set up in my studio.
If you are interested in any of these types of jewellery, please contact me so that we can discuss your requirements.
